At the Gozitan restaurant you can expect the best of local specialities with an extra pinch of Gozitan flavour. On a menu entertainlingly written in the Gozitan dialect (translated into English) you will find typical dishes such as bragoli (beef olives), horse meat, rabbit and suckling pig. Portions are generous, in true local style.
We went here three times it was so nice my partner mark said it’s the best steak he’s ever had.chef is English.the staff are lovely.i had homemade fish cakes they were lovely. Good wine to choose from. Hope to be back in November!
We found Gozitan by chance on a walk around town and went to eat there several nights later. Delicious food, friendly service and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended for authentic Maltese cuisine!
This is a quaint restaurant that advertises that they make local cuisine. The food is too notch and plenty of it and they give you appetizers and a complimentary dessert. If you want a flare of local cuisine, this is the place and it won’t kill your wallet!
We called in for a meal thinking that it was going to be OK good but how wrong we were. The good we totally awesome & the start were fantastic as well. I had the horse casserole, my wife had the suckling pig, just superb. Truly an authentic taste of Malta.
I’ve been at a tons of restaurant in my life, but i’ve never experienced this kindness and helpfullness before. If u want to try maltese cuisine and local wines, this is your place! The portions are huge, not overpriced, and unbelievably delicious!

This place was the highlight on our culinary tour of Malta. The staff were amazing and gave us all kinds of local snacks, treats and desserts in addition to our traditional meals.
It is our 3rd time when we came to Gozitan. Amazing food-starters, main and desserts. And the staff is great and knows how to spoil its customers. You must enjoy this place at least once when you come to St Julian.
